The German Lovecraft Society (dLG) is dedicated to the critical examination of the works of the American author Howard Phillips Lovecraft and their contemporary interpretation. Founded in 2014, the society now boasts over 400 active members from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. These members share a passion for the stories and characters primarily created in the 1920s, whether through Lovecraft himself or through his numerous literary acquaintances who have embraced and developed his work. The dLG supports a wide range of artists, projects, and events.

Furthermore, the dLG publishes its own role-playing game, FHTAGN, a free and open-source role-playing system for which new scenarios are released regularly. To promote diversity and creativity, FHTAGN uses exclusively public domain content from H.P. Lovecraft or other secured public domain sources. This allows role-playing game authors to create their own material using the FHTAGN system for both commercial and non-commercial purposes without hesitation.
